How It Works…
Millions
of photos
are purchased daily. They are used for advertising, books, magazines,
newspapers, posters, and personal use--both on the Internet and in
print media. Millions of dollars are
spent daily to purchase and publish those pictures.
FACT: The photos can be divided into two categories: 1.) Generic pictures
that can be found easily through “stock photo agencies;”
2.) specific-content pictures that need to match a specific use or
text.
Photobuyers
and researchers know that finding photos for this second category
is a difficult task.
Until
now. Internet search engines and a growing number of photo sites have
turned this around. Photo editors and researchers now can type a three
or four word description into Google etc. and find the “source”
of the highly specific pictures.
This
new method
of finding stock photos
saves editors a terrific amount of time (and money), and gives independent
photographers access to thousands of active markets.
